EASY FIREPLACE TERMS & CONDITIONS – All goods must be paid for in full prior to delivery/leaving our showroom. A 50% deposit is due on placing any order to cover part cost of ordering your chosen product. There is a £30.00 delivery charge applicable to all customers which must be paid on ordering your products at the discretion of the team.
Goods can not be taken away from your property unless paid for on the invoice to pay towards the disposal costs and recycling.RETURNS POLICY – All Ex-Display or Clearance Products are unfortunately non refundable and have been purchased under the accepting returns and giving refunds law. Accepted returned goods are subject to a 25% re-stocking charge and will incur a delivery charge where applicable if we are to collect and send back to the manufacturers/suppliers. The goods will be accepted back once the management has checked over the products and confirms they have been returned in a re-saleable state and the packaging is correct and not damaged to allow us to receive our refund minus our charges incurred. All specials made to measure at the customer’s request are non refundable as they have been made to your specific requirements. These include and are not a full and final list, size variations or any kind, colour choice, with or without down lights, different hearth options, different rebate options or any other bespoke options. If the item is a gas, electric or wood burner/stove then if the fire has been ordered in for you then the terms are stated above and a 25% restocking charge will be incurred which is our cost for sending the item back. If the item was a stock item from our business that we had in stock then the restocking charge will only be 10% plus any delivery/collection costs incurred.
CHIMNEYS & FLUES – It is advised that you have your flue checked prior to fitting. If we are to supply and install your chosen products then we offer this service. On surveys we only carry out a standard survey as we are not removing your fire. If you want your chimney checking there is a charge for this at £50.00 + VAT and we will be able to let you know if your chimney is of safe standard to use and what your overall costs will be. Most customers take the free survey but the option is 100% yours. Any faults or problems with a customers chimney/flue are the responsibility of the customer and repairs are not covered in the installation charges we apply when quoting for our standard installation works.
INSTALLATIONS – this comprises of a fire and or fireplace.
Installations will be carried out by company staff or approved sub-contractors.
Customers are not allowed to be in the same room as the installation taking place due to insurance purposes and potential trip hazards and other potential issues.
All customers are to be aware that dust sheets will be used and can be a potential trip hazard. Your support in protecting yourself and our engineers is much appreciated for the safety of all.
Pipe work – customers’ existing pipe work must be to current standards/regulations and changes or upgrades to this are not covered in the installation charges applied and there would be an extra charge if you request us to do this work for you and you will be given a full price before the work is carried out be that verbally on the day or via a full quote if the installation date ahead allows. If you are not having your chosen products installed by ourselves then the installation contract is between yourself and your chosen installer and this is determined by how you pay for the installation. If the installation cost is taken by our company then the contract is with us. Fire & Fireplace, No building work (knocking out, plastering etc) is included in the installation charges unless specified on the invoice. If we are asked to remove a tiled, stone, brick or cast iron fireplace then there will be additional charges applied for this and the disposal of this product. Gas Pipework and Running of cables or electric work is also additional when required. If you pay the engineer direct then the contract for the installation is direct to that engineer be them recommended or unknown.
If we are installing your chosen product for you please assist us by –
FURNITURE – Cover all items to avoid dust damage, such as TVs and Furniture. Dust can never be prevented but covering your items will reduce the dust. We take all the care possible to reduce dust and dirt but no allowance or responsibility is taken for your goods if they are left in a room that is being worked in.
CARPETS & FLOORING – Please roll back or pull up any carpet or flooring around the installation area. Due to insurance purposes we are unable to cut customers flooring. If carpet or flooring can’t be rolled back please cover with your own dust sheets and the installers will also place their sheets on top of yours for double protection.
DECORATING – During installation we cannot be held responsible for any decor damages or problems incurred. We are there to carry out a job and will do so in the most efficient and cleanest way possible.
SKIRTING BOARDS – Our fitters will cut any skirting boards but please note they are not joiners and will not piece in flush with your skirting boards. If you require any further joinery work, please contact the showroom who will put you in touch with a local independent joiner. Also if there are any electrical cables or water pipes incorrectly located on the walls or floors during installation and we catch them we are not liable for this as they have been incorrectly located to start with and was an unknown to ourselves due to bad working practise from the past engineer.
PLASTERING – Our fitters will patch up around a fireplace if the new fireplace is slightly smaller than the one removed or if the plaster comes away from the wall when removing the existing fireplace, but please remember they are not plasterers they are fire & fireplace specialists. If you require any further plaster work we can put you in touch with an approved local independent plasterer.
EXISTING APPLIANCES – during some installations we may need to turn off your gas and or electricity. We will relight your gas appliances and visually check they are installed safely but any faults or problems with the appliances we as a company cannot be held responsible for as the maintenance/servicing is the customers responsibility. We do have information on approved plumbers available on request.
